Looking for a new fragrance to spruce up your scent game? Well, if you’ve got a spare Dhs4.752 million ($1.295 million) lying around, we’ve got the perfect perfume for you!
Hefty price tag huh? Well, maybe it’s justified - set with 3,571 sparkling diamonds, topaz, pearls, over 2kgs of 18 karat gold and 5kgs of pure silver, the luxurious 1.97 metres tall SHUMUKH bottle just launched at The Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue.
Not only that, the hand-blown Italian Murano glass bottle holds three litres of perfume, dispensed via a remote-controlled spray mechanism that adjusts to the user’s ideal height, pushing it’s status to holding two Guiness World record titles (one for the most diamonds on a perfume bottle and the other for the tallest remote controlled france). Phew. That’s a lot to take in.
The “luxurious unisex perfume” was launched by The Spirit of Dubai Parfums by Nabeel to pay tribute to “The Spirit of Dubai”, and is inspired by the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the city, combining artistry, perfumery and jewellery along the backdrop of a thriving, cosmopolitan society. The fragrance represents seven key elements of the emirate, including pearl diving, falconry, Arabian horses, roses, luxury, Arabian hospitality, and Dubai’s stature as a ‘city of the future’.
SHUMUKH in Arabic translates to ‘deserving the highest’ and the perfume itself took over 3 years to be formulated, including 494 perfume trails. Fragrance enthusiasts will be keen to know that the perfume is comprised of the finest natural ingredients, including amber, sandalwood, musk, rare pure Indian agarwood, pure Turkish rose, patchouli ylang-ylang and frankincense. Due to the superior quality and rarity of the ingredients, the rich scent is promised to last on the skin for more than 12 hours and up to 30 days on fabric. Niiiice.
SHUMUKH screams luxury in all senses of the word! But hey, if you can’t afford the custom-made world-record-holding perfume bottle (understandable), visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase individual perfumes and avail the complimentary engraving service.
Get yourself down to Dubai Mall before Saturday 30th March!
